"Double Standards"

Hi Guys, and welcome to 'Double Standards' over the next 3 week I will be discussing 3 of what I would consider to possibly be the top 3 double standards between men and women today. The first double standard I'll be talking about is 'Men having the pressure to make the first move'. I believe this is one of the more obvious and openly spoken about double standard. Whenever there is a move to be made men are routinely expected to be the one's to make the first move: and if they're not the first ones to make the first move this somehow make them less of man in the eyes of other men and women.

There's even a stigma behind women approaching men first, why is this? If as a majority we strive for equality, why is something so minor made into such a big deal. It's now 2017 shouldn't both men and women be able to make or not make the first move without the pressure of feeling judged by the people around them. I for one believe if someone whether it be a man or a woman is confident enough to approach someone then they have the right to do so. Now don't get me wrong there are people out there with the same views on this topic as mine but the majority still feel that men be should the one's to make that initial 'first move'.

Will the dominant views on this topic ever change? Let's get a discussion going and let me know your thoughts but using the hashtag #DoubleStandards and leave a comment Below....

Until next week, bye for now!
